Frozen Blackberries and Raspberries

This alert is from the Chicago Rabbinical Council

Due to a high incidence of insects that have been discovered in current batches of frozen blackberries and raspberries, the CRC is currently recommending that store-bought frozen blackberries and frozen raspberries not be consumed whole.  This should not be construed as a prohibition against purchasing frozen blackberries and raspberries for purposes of blending thoroughly to produce smoothies etc.; although the CRC intends to conduct further review into this matter.
