2211 Savoy Drive

Atlanta, GA 30341

Sunday-Thursday: 9AM-8PM

Friday: 9AM-4PM

Kroger Toco Hills Kosher Deli: The Kosher Deli was closed for remodeling and the sushi was moved to the front of the store. The Kosher Deli is now open again and the sushi is back in the Kosher Deli section.

Publix Fresh Cut Strawberries: Strawberries are often infested and require thorough cleaning to remove infestation. Recently several kashrus agencies have implemented more rigorous requirements for the cleaning/checking process. In the past a local Rav felt that the cleaning process Publix used for its pre-cut strawberries was sufficient; that is no longer the case. The AKC does not recommend purchasing pre-cut fresh strawberries, or fruit salad with strawberries, unless one checks the strawberries.

Veryfine Fruit Punch: in the 1 gallon size no longer bears the OU and is no longer OU certified

Entenmann’s:
Most of the products are certified OU-D Dairy. A few items are not certified and do not bear the OU-D symbol. Consumers should always check each item when purchasing to verify that there is a kosher symbol on the product.

Oreo Sandwich Cookies:

At the present time the following Oreo Sandwich Cookies do not contain dairy ingredients, though they are manufactured on dairy equipment:

Original Oreo Sandwich Cookies

Oreo Double Stuf Sandwich Cookies

Oreo Original Mega Stuff Sandwich Cookie

Mini Original Oreo Sandwich Cookies

Chocolate Oreo Sandwich Cookies

Golden Oreo Sandwich Cookies

Triple Double Oreo Sandwich Cookies

Oreo Thins Sandwich Cookies

The equipment is not necessarily cleaned before the production of these cookies, and there may be a small amount of dairy residue present. Nonetheless, the dairy component would be minimal, and from a Halachic perspective, the dairy residue is nullified (botel bishishim) and of no consequence. The bottom line of all this is that these cookies may be consumed after meat and poultry, but not simultaneously.

Please bear in mind that the manufacturer may choose in the future to reformulate these products and add dairy ingredients. Since these products already bear OUD symbols, formulation changes would not be reflected in the OUD logo. As such, we recommend that consumers check regularly with the OU to confirm the status of these items.

Ali’s Cookies (Only Johnson Ferry Road location is certified) is now offering delivery of its AKC certified products (Dairy, Pareve, & DE) from its Johnson Ferry Road location to its other 2 locations on Thursdays and Fridays for pickup of pre-ordered products from the Johnson Ferry Road location. There is no additional cost.
